duties, as per AS 1891.

~ Recommended For

Permanent staff members or contractors, who are required to have a practical & theoretical understanding of heights safety legislation.

~ Learning Outcomes

On the successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply current statutory legislation, organisational or site requirements
    and procedures
  • Name and identify the functions of equipment, components and materials
  • Apply safe handling techniques for shifting tools and materials on site
  • Understand the nature of work being undertaken at heights
  • Risk assessment / Job Safety Analysis Permit System
  • Understand tag out / lock out isolation procedures
  • Understand & demonstrate hazard reduction and risk assessment
  • Have a practical understanding of heights safety systems and equipment
  • Apply isolation procedures as required
