CPCCBC4945A Perform Advanced Rigging
Course Overview:
This three day training program focuses primarily on the construction, mining, manufacturing and related industries, where staff need to be able to perform advanced rigging, including planning and preparing for work, conducting operational checks, safely and effectively performing advanced rigging activities for a range of tasks including the erection and dismantling of lifting devices, placing and securing hung prefabricated scaffolds, fixing and securing permanent guys, demolition activities, and load distribution and calculation in accordance with designated Australian standards.
Recommended For:
Any person who has to erect tilt-up panels, conduct multiple crane lifts, erect and dismantle cranes or perform demolition work, etc.
Pre-requisites:
The candidate must be 18 Years of age, and have a sound knowledge of the English language and hold an Intermediate Rigging Certificate of Competency or Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
Learning Outcomes:
- Clarify and confirm work order with appropriate personnel
- Participate in on-site meetings
- Read and interpret: instructions, work orders, report faults and respond appropriately
- Document hazards
- Comply with legislation, regulations, standards, codes of practice and established safe practices and procedures for performing advanced rigging operations
- Efficiently and safely perform advanced rigging operations
- Calculate rated capacity and working load limits
- Use and maintain relevant tools, machinery and equipment
- Verify problems and equipment faults
