Personnel Hoist (HP)
Course Overview:
This two day training program focuses primarily on the construction, mining, manufacturing and related industries, where staff need to be able to operate HP Cranes.
Recommended For:
Any person who needs to operate a Personnel Hoist.
Pre-requisites:
UEPOPS201A—Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
The candidate must be 18 years of age or over and have a sound knowledge of the English language.
Learning Outcomes:
Take precautions to prevent accidents when using a HP crane.
Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine.
State operator responsibilities under legislation.
Identify and remove hazards that could affect crane operations.
Demonstrate correct start-up and shut down procedures.
Lift and move loads following appropriate signals.
Interpret load charts correctly.
