This eight hour training program focuses primarily on the construction, mining, manufacturing and related industries, where staff need to be able to operate Over Head Cranes.

UEPOPS201A—Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

The candidate must have a sound knowledge of the English language.

Learning Outcomes:

Take precautions to prevent accidents when using an Over Head crane.

Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine.

State operator responsibilities under legislation.

Identify and remove hazards that could affect crane operations.

Demonstrate correct start-up and shut down procedures.

Lift and move loads following appropriate signals.

Interpret load charts correctly.
