Course Overview: UEPOPS225A Shift and Transfer Materials using an Excavator
This five day training program focuses primarily on the construction and mining industries where staff are required to operate an Excavator.
Recommended For: Any person who needs to be certified as competent to be able to operate an Excavator.
Pre-requisites: The candidate must hold UEPOPS201A Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures. The candidate must have a sound knowledge of the English language.
Learning Outcomes:
Take precautions to prevent accidents when using heavy earth moving equipment
Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine
State operator responsibilities under legislation
Identify and remove hazards that could affect heavy earth moving equipment operations
Demonstrate correct start-up and sit-down procedures
Demonstrate the diff rent types of operations of the machine
