NON-SLEWING MOBILE CRANE

| ~ Course Overview |
This five-day training program
focuses primarily on the construction, mining, manufacturing
and related industries, where staff need to be able to operate
Non-Slewing Mobile Cranes. |
| ~ Recommended For |
| Any person who needs to operate
a crane that exceeds three tonne lifting capacity. |
~ Pre-requisites |
The candidate must be 18 years of
age or over and have a sound knowledge of the English language.
*A logbook or record of training
is required for the five-day course. |
| ~ Learning Outcomes |
- Take precautions to prevent accidents when using a non-slewing
crane.
- Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine.
- State operator responsibilities under legislation.
- Identify and remove hazards that could affect crane operations.
- Demonstrate correct start-up and shut down procedures.
- Lift and move loads following appropriate signals.
- Interpret load charts correctly.
