UEPOPS230A Operate lifting and load shifting equipment for loads greater than 10 tonnes (CV)
Course Overview:
This training program focuses primarily on the construction, mining industries, where staff need to be able to operate non-slewing cranes greater than 10 tonnes.
Recommended For:
Any person who needs to operate a vehicle loading crane (CV).
Pre-requisites:
The candidate must hold UEPOPS201A Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, must be 18 Years of age and have a sound knowledge of the English language
Learning Outcomes:
Take precautions to prevent accidents when using a vehicle loading crane.
Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine
State operator responsibilities under legislation
Identify and remove hazards.
Demonstrate correct start-up and shut down procedures.
Lift and move loads following appropriate signals
Interpret load charts correctly
