UEPOPS230A Operate lifting and load shifting equipment for loads greater than 10 tonnes (CN)

 

Course Overview:

This training program focuses primarily on the construction, mining industries, where staff need to be able to operate non-slewing cranes greater than 10 tonnes.

Recommended For:

Any person who needs to operate a non-slewing crane (CN).

Pre-requisites:

The candidate must hold UEPOPS201A Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, must be 18 Years of age and have a sound knowledge of the English language

Learning Outcomes:

Take precautions to prevent accidents when using a machine.

Conduct pre-operational checks of the machine

State operator responsibilities under legislation

Identify and remove hazards.

Demonstrate correct start-up and shut down procedures.

Demonstrate the different types of operation of the machine
